IIT Animatrice e regista. Dopo la laurea all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia, conseguita nel 1997, ottiene la borsa post-laurea Leonardo Da Vinci e si trasferisce a Bristol, in Inghilterra. Durante questa esperienza formativa collabora con Aardman Animation e altre importanti realtà anglosassoni, partecipando alla lavorazione di Galline In fuga. Prosegue la sua carriera di animatrice in diversi Paesi europei, lavorando per pubblicità, serie televisive e lungometraggi, fino alla realizzazione del suo primo cortometraggio indipendente, Bertie and Roderick in a Bit of a Fix (2003). A questa significativa esperienza fanno seguito i cortometraggi Jingle Bells – I Cartoni dello Zecchino, The Good (Water) Governance Recipe per l’UNESCO, e la regia di diversi episodi delle web-serie Arctic Friends e Puffins, spin-off del film d’animazione Arctic Justice – Un’avventura glaciale, con la voce di Johnny Depp.
EN Animator and director. After graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in 1997, she was awarded a Leonardo Da Vinci post-graduate scholarship and moved to Bristol, England. During this formative experience, she collaborated with Aardman Animation and other major British studios, taking part in the production of Chicken Run. She continued her career as an animator across various European countries, working on commercials, TV series, and feature films. In 2003, she completed her first independent short film, Bertie and Roderick in a Bit of a Fix. This significant milestone was followed by the short films Jingle Bells – I Cartoni dello Zecchino, The Good (Water) Governance Recipe for UNESCO, and her direction of several episodes of the web series Arctic Friends and Puffins, spin-offs of the animated feature Arctic Justice, starring the voice of Johnny Depp.

Stefano Tambellini IT Stefano Tambellini è nato a Barga (Lucca) nel 1983. Dopo il diploma in Animazione tradizionale al Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia di Torino, si trasferisce a Londra, dove inizia a lavorare come illustratore per l’editoria e l’animazione. Nel 2005 fonda, insieme alla sorella Alice, l’etichetta di produzioni indipendenti SenzaTesta. I due realizzano diversi cortometraggi in stop-motion con pupazzi animati, selezionati e premiati in numerosi festival in Europa e nel mondo. Il loro ultimo lavoro, Impossible Maladies, ha vinto oltre venti premi internazionali, tra cui il concorso degli Italian Shorts alla prima edizione di Stop e-Motion Days. Come illustratore, Tambellini ha collaborato con importanti case editrici italiane e internazionali, pubblicando i propri lavori in Gran Bretagna, Stati Uniti, Francia e Repubblica Ceca. Attualmente vive in Italia, dove organizza periodicamente laboratori di animazione e costruzione di pupazzi.
EN Stefano Tambellini was born in Barga (Lucca) in 1983. After graduating in Traditional Animation from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Turin, he moved to London, where he began working as an illustrator for publishing and animation. In 2005, together with his sister Alice, he founded the independent production label SenzaTesta. The two have created several stop-motion short films with animated puppets, which have been selected and awarded at numerous festivals across Europe and around the world. Their latest work, Impossible Maladies, won over twenty international awards including the Italian Shorts competition at the first edition of Stop e-Motion Days. As an illustrator, Tambellini has collaborated with major Italian and international publishers, with his works appearing in the UK, the United States, France, and the Czech Republic. He currently lives in Italy, where he regularly conducts workshops in animation and puppet making.
Virgilio Villoresi IT Regista e artista visivo. Unisce cinema, animazione e artigianato in un linguaggio fortemente personale e immediatamente riconoscibile. Nel 2021 fonda a Milano Fantasmagoria, casa di produzione e studio-laboratorio dedicato allo sviluppo di progetti cinematografici e pubblicitari. Nel 2025 realizza il suo primo lungometraggio, Orfeo, liberamente ispirato a Poema a fumetti di Dino Buzzati: un’opera interamente girata in pellicola 16mm, che intreccia Live-Action e animazione in stop-motion, fondendo tecniche artigianali, miniature, prospettive forzate e scenografie costruite a mano all’interno dello studio stesso. Il film viene selezionato in concorso alla Mostra del Cinema di Venezia 2025, dove ottiene un ampio consenso di pubblico e di critica.
EN Director and visual artist. He merges cinema, animation, and craftsmanship into a highly personal and instantly recognizable language. In 2021, he founded Fantasmagoria in Milan – a production company and creative studio devoted to developing film and advertising projects. In 2025, he made his feature debut with Orfeo, freely inspired by Dino Buzzati’s Poema a fumetti: a work shot entirely on 16mm film that weaves together Live-Action and stop-motion animation, blending handcrafted techniques, miniatures, forced perspectives, and set designs built within the studio itself. The film was selected in competition at the 2025 Venice Film Festival, where it received widespread critical and audience acclaim.
