Stop e-Motion (SeM) Days was created to strengthen the cultural landscape of Mestre and Venice through a unique international event dedicated to stop-motion animation.

We believe that contemporary cultural events can redefine how cities are experienced, encouraging high-quality tourism and attracting creative communities from Italy and abroad.

Our goal is to create events of clear artistic and cultural value, capable of engaging a wide and diverse audience – from industry professionals to families, from students to passionate cinephiles.

How do we do it?

We achieve this by organizing the first Italian festival entirely dedicated to stop-motion animation, combining artistic excellence, education, and industry dialogue.

What do we do?

Stop e-Motion (SeM) Days is Italy’s first stop-motion animation festival.

The festival takes place annually at M9 - Museo del ’900 in Mestre, part of the metropolitan area of Venezia.

SeM Days celebrates the art, technique, and innovation of stop-motion animation, offering a professional and cultural platform for filmmakers, animation studios, students, and audiences.

The festival is a project by Quarta Parete, a film collective committed to promoting cinema culture and supporting emerging talents in the audiovisual sector.
